The « centre de résonance magnétique électronique pour les matériaux et l’énergie » (cr2me) is the 200th joint laboratory of the CNRS and has been created in November 2021 during a ceremony involving Patrick Pouyanné and Antoine Petit.
The goal of this joint laboratory between TotalEnergies OneTech and CNRS/LASIRE is to develop innovative methodologies in the field of Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) spectroscopy in order to improve and anticipate ageing characterization of low carbon materials and matrices.
A special focus will be made on EPR methodologies implementing sensors or in operando measurements. These methodologies are particularly important to accurately characterize the degradation of our different products.
Electronic exchanges are in the center of multiple key chemical reactions and many products evolutions. This joint laboratory is therefore extremely transverse and involves R&D teams from all TotalEnergies OneTech R&D Lines and subsidiaries.
Our priority research items are:
Responsiveness
and sustainability
Recycling
Electrochemistry
and energy storage
cr2me quick history
LASIRE (formerly LASIR) is a joint research unit of the CNRS and the University of Lille, whose main field of application is the study of complex physico-chemical systems using molecular spectroscopic, analytical and advanced modelling methods.
